Special thank you to: Mabe, Edward, & Don Kwan for hosting our party in their second home Shanghai Restaurant. We appreciate the love and support!
Big thanks to The Improv Embassy, Ottawa’s best theatre company for learning Improv, Sketch and now Stand Up! You can do this too, they can show you how!
After I was invited to show my art at the Shanghai Restaurant and got to know some of the owners of the restaurant, I had the pleasant surprise of discovering that it is not “just a restaurant”, but a mini-community center! Everyone who is someone in Ottawa area, and some from outside, is a friend of the Shanghai! Well known people from all walks of life came in one time or another. So, now it is time that my friends join the crowd and meet me at Shanghai for the vernissage of my China Girl show, on Thursday September 6th, at 7 pm. Great art, good treats and great company! Please come by!

From ancient cultures are born revolutionary sounds. Driven by a determination to re-imagine songs of the ages as sounds for our age, Greek-Canadian Chairman George presents a unique form of artistic fusion – one where the bouzouki cohabits with the pipa, where melodic Greek songs are performed in Mandarin, one where there are no borders. It’s a Mediterranean cruise up the Yangtze, and this is the soundtrack. In an era of too much conflict, Chairman George brings worlds together in celebration. And in dance.
Based on Απόψε στις ακρογιαλιές by Vassilis Tsitsanis.
