Legend has it, that two people who are destined to meet are connected by an invisible red thread. This spiritual thread may stretch or tangle, but never break. This, and many other legends, myths, and fairly tales are the inspiration behind the surreal photography we invite you all to see.

With a long form improv set by Speak Up (Woody Field McCadden, Lauren Christina Banks, Nick Howe, Maria Corts Puch & Angus Wright)
Speak Up is an Ottawa based Indie Improv team formed in the Summer of 2018. Special thanks to Shanghai Restaurant for providing us the space to play & party and the support from The Improv Embassy where we all met!
After I was invited to show my art at the Shanghai Restaurant and got to know some of the owners of the restaurant, I had the pleasant surprise of discovering that it is not “just a restaurant”, but a mini-community center! Everyone who is someone in Ottawa area, and some from outside, is a friend of the Shanghai! Well known people from all walks of life came in one time or another. So, now it is time that my friends join the crowd and meet me at Shanghai for the vernissage of my China Girl show, on Thursday September 6th, at 7 pm. Great art, good treats and great company! Please come by!
